We regret to inform you of the passing away of the late Cathy Smith (née McGivern) RIP, 6B Mountpleasant, Newry,

Co Down. Cathy RIP, passed away peacefully at home, 10th June 2026.

Loving mummy to Christopher and Michael, beloved daughter of the late Jimmy and Marie RIP, cherished sister of Edward, Daniel and Michael and a dear grandmother, aunt, neighbour and friend.

Cathy’s remains will repose at Mallon’s Funeral Home, Mill Rd, Bessbrook from 6pm-8pm on Thursday and Friday for friends and family to pay their respects.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am on Saturday 13th June in Ss Patrick and Colman’s Cathedral. Interment in Monkshill Cemetery.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family circle. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her gentle soul.
