We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Brenda Mary Sweeney (née Dellett), peacefully at the Causeway Hospital, late of 27 Mill Road, Portstewart, Co Derry on August 5 2025, may she rest in peace. Brenda – Forever in our hearts. Much loved wife of Joseph. Loving Mum of Stephen (Leigh), Deirdre (Marty), Joanne (Trevor) and Brendan (Monica) and the late Oliver R.I.P. Granny to Niamh, Jude, Chloe, Mason, Noah, Theodore, Sebastian and Abigail. Loving daughter of the late John Dellett and late Winifred (Née Coleman) R.I.P and dear sister to Maura (Charlie). Fondly remembered by all her brothers- sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and wider family circle.

Brenda will be reposing at her late home, 27 Mill Road, Portstewart, BT55 7PQ. Wake will commence on Saturday, August 9, 12noon to 9.00pm and Sunday, August 10, 12noon to 9.00pm. Reposing at S. D. Brown’s Funeral Directors, 4 Sackville Street, Lisburn on Monday, August 11 from 11.00am to 4.00pm. Brenda’s remains will be removed from her son Brendan’s home on Tuesday, August 12 to St Anne’s Church, Kingsway, Dunmurry for a 11.00am funeral service. Interment afterwards in Lisburn New Cemetery Blaris.
