SWEENEY (née Lillis) Rita – (Newry) May 28, 2022, (peacefully) in the care of Ashford House Nursing Home, Dun Laoghaire.

Rita, dearly beloved wife of the late Louis and cherished mother of Paul and Clodagh, devoted grandmother of Dan, Hugh, Eimear, Ronan, Fergal and Eoin and loving sister of David, Joseph, Tony, Tessie and Pauline, formerly of Dromalane Road and Warrenpoint Road, Newry.

Rita’s remains will repose at the Heaney Keenan Funeral Home, 53 Patrick Street, Newry, BT35 8EB on Sunday from 2pm – 4pm. Funeral on Monday for 12 noon Requiem Mass in the Church of the Assumption, Drumalane. Burial afterwards in Cloughoge Cemetery. “Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her”.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing son, daughter, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Lucy, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and the entire family circle.
