2nd Anniversary

In loving memory of a dear Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Father-in-law, Brother-in-law and Friend.
Sadly missed along life’s way,
Quietly remembered everyday,
No longer in our lives to share,
But in our hearts your always there,
For those who think of Pat today,
A little prayer to Jesus say,
Always in our thoughts and prayers,

Loved and missed by all the family in Mullaslin, Loughmacrory.

Pat’s 2nd Anniversary Mass shall be celebrated in St Marys Church, Loughmacrory on Sunday 18th June 2023 at 10am and via the parish webcam.

Family Acknowledgement

We, the family of Pat Ward wish to extend our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement. We thank all those who sent flowers and kind donations to Termonmaguirc Cancer Patients Comfort Fund and to everyone who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, letters and for the many phone calls and messages we received. A heartfelt thanks to Pat’s many friends and neighbours who contacted him during his illness, this was of great support to him.

We acknowledge with special thanks to the Friendly Care Group for their encouragement, assistance and the friendship imparted to him over the years. Our sincere thanks to the Termonmaguirc Cancer Patients Comfort Fund for their empathy and compassion throughout Pat’s illness. We are most grateful to all the medical professionals who were so diligent in their care and professional compassion, to his Oncologist, Dr Malek, Staff at the Sperrin Unit and Radiotherapy department, Altnagelvin Hospital. To all the Doctors, Nurses and staff in Three Spires Health Centre, the Beragh District Nursing Team, the Critical Care Unit and Specialist Lung Clinical Nurse, Katrina Donnelly. Our deepest gratitude to Mark Grimes and the staff at McGreads Pharmacy for all their help.

A special word of thanks to all those who brought food for the family at this difficult time including Eurospar and Pizzamac. We sincerely appreciate all of those who helped co-ordinate the traffic and to our kind neighbours and friends who supported the family in so many ways.

We were truly honoured to see so many people line the route of the funeral cortege and privileged by the Guards of Honour from Dean Maguirc College, Friendly Care Group, Loch Mhic Ruairi Naomh Teresa, Nippers Alley Playgroup and St Teresa’s Primary School.

We especially wish to thank Fr O’Neill for his spiritual guidance and to Fr Mallon who celebrated Pat’s Funeral Mass and Eulogy, to Charlie the Sacristan, to Eamonn Donnelly and Jackie Loughran for providing the beautiful music and singing and to Angela Rafferty for the mass booklets. We extend our appreciation to Packie Coyle and Peter Fox for their touching tribute and bidding farewell at the graveside. It was all very much appreciated.

Our heartfelt thanks to Jimmy Fox and Ryan McCallan Funeral Directors for the dignified and respectful manner they carried out their duties and to the gravediggers who prepared Pat’s final resting place.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Pat’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Loughmacrory on Monday July 19th at 8.00pm.
