Date of Death: Sunday 12th September 2021 Town: Ardboe
Date of Death: Sunday 12th September 2021

The family of the late Darren Canavan would like to take this time and opportunity to express our sincere heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us and offered and provided their much needed assistance, support and prayers, all of which have given us great strength and comfort following the sudden loss of our much loved Son, Father, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend.

We have been overwhelmed with the love, kindness and support from family, friends and the entire local and wider community. A special thank you to everyone who has been there for us and helped in any way throughout, to all who called to the house, brought and cooked food, baked, sent cards, flowers and messages, came to pay their respects at Lavery’s Funeral home, lined the route to the chapel on the day of Darren’s Funeral and attended his funeral mass.

We appreciate that Darren touched the lives of many people from near and far, so thank you.

A Special heartfelt thanks to the kind and caring people who helped Darren at the scene that night, we are so eternally grateful and thankful to you all. May God bless you.

Thanks to all the Emergency services who attended Darren and to the Doctor, also Canon Fee for giving Darren his last rights.

A special word of thanks to Fr Sean McGuigan for his spiritual support, and for celebrating the Requiem Mass in memory of Darren which was such a special, personal heartfelt service.

Thanks to Margaret-Ann and to Patrick Slevin for the beautiful music which enhanced the Mass.

We express our sincere appreciation to Conan and Pat of Lavery’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, endless advice and the consideration and dignified way they carried out the funeral arrangements. Conan especially give so much contentment to the family as the situation was not an easy one to deal with so thank you.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt thanks and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.

Darren’s Months Mind Mass will take place on Tuesday 12th October at 7pm in The Church of the Blessed Sacrament Mullinahoe.
