FAMILY ACKNOWLEDGMENT

We, the family of the late Bernie Devlin, would like to express our heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us through the recent loss of Bernie, our very much loved and adored mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, mother in law, friend to many, and wife to Danny.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way.

Thank you to the many people who called to the wake, telephoned, messaged us, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, and beautiful floral tributes. Also, thank you to those who left messages online or via social media and those who attended the very emotional funeral mass.

Special thank you to all the wonderful staff at Sanville Nursing Home Coalisland who cared for Bernie during her heartbreakingly long and enduring illness. Bless the hands of those who lovingly tended to her, especially in her final weeks and days, and also shared in our heartbreak of losing her, we as a family will never forget you all.
Also, a huge thank you to the lovely guard of honour from Sanville staff who spread out as we left for her funeral Mass. It was a touching tribute and a testament to how adored she was, thank you so much.

Thank you to all our relatives, friends, and neighbours who helped us in so many ways. Special thank you to everyone who brought lovely food to the house and helped out in any way. It meant so much.

A huge thank you to our lovely musician and soloist Ellen Campbell for the amazing music and for singing mummy’s favourite hymns so beautifully. She would have been smiling down on you.

Thank you to Benedict Martin Funeral directors for the caring and dignified manner in which they looked after mummy and carried out her funeral arrangements and also for preparing mummy’s final resting place beside our sister Paula.
Thank you also to The Ryandale Moy and staff for the beautiful meal after the funeral service, which was excellent.

A special thank you to Fr. Thomas McHugh and Fr. Stephen Wilson for the beautiful and emotionally touching Funeral Mass. I think it’s safe to say everyone in the church felt something very deep at Bernie’s funeral, It was a very special mass. Fr. Thomas, your tribute to Bernie was beautifully conveyed.
And to Bernie’s only son Daniel on his special eulogy to his mother, which was so well delivered, she would be so proud. And to the brilliant little altar servers who carried out their duties so well.

Also to Bernie’s grandchildren, who each had ceremonial duties and carried them out in such a dignified manner, she loved her grandchildren. Thank you so much to Canon Benny Fee for his prayers and support to our family both in the weeks prior to Bernie’s passing and especially the days before, your spiritual guidance, comfort and prayers meant so much to us and we are eternally grateful to you, also thank you for calling to the wake with further prayers and support to our family.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be enough to show our gratitude and appreciation to everyone who’s been there for us and continues to be there for us as we navigate this very raw grief, we are all absolutely heartbroken.

Bernie’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St John the Baptist Church Moy on Saturday 20th May at 6.30pm.
St Therese, pray for her.
