The family of the late Margaret Dobbin, R.I.P. wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in the recent loss of their much loved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
To the kind relatives, friends, neighbours and members of the wider community who helped them during this difficult time; to those who called at the family home, who sent mass cards, sympathy cards and donations and brought food; to those who attended the funeral and those who travelled a distance to be with the family, we are truly grateful.
Thanks to all the staff at the Glens Medical Centre, District Nurses and particularly the Team of Carers who looked after her in her recent years.
A special thanks to Fr. Fitzsimons P.P. for his spiritual support and guidance, and for celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass; and to Fr Strain P.P. of Glenravel and The Braid who laid her to rest in The Braid. Thank you to Clodagh Mc Carry (Gribbin) for the lovely music in the chapel and Sean Doyle, piper, who accompanied her on her final journey.
Thank you also to Maeve, Michael, Denise, Carmel, Tommy and all from Braid Parish Group who prepared and served refreshments afterwards in the Braid Hall.
Thanks to Joe Cunning Funeral Directors for the professional and personal service shown to the family during the wake and funeral.
The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

The month’s mind Mass for Margaret will be celebrated on Saturday 6 January 2024 at 7.00pm in St. John the Evangelist Church, Carnlough.

It is with the utmost regret that we have to inform you of the death of Margaret Dobbin, 29 Largy Road, Carnlough. Margaret passed away peacefully at home, on 10th December. May she rest in peace.

Dearest wife of John and devoted mother to John Brendan, Brónach, Hugh Michael, Gráinne, Pádraig, and the late Ruairí (RIP). Cherished sister of Mary, Sean, Liam and the late Kathleen, Patrick and Charlie.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband, children, sister, brothers, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and wider family circle.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam uasal.

Margaret’s funeral will leave her late residence on Wednesday at 10.20am to St. John The Evangelist Church for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s cemetery, The Braid.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Chest, Heart & Stroke.
