We the family of the late Brendan Gelston wish to offer our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent sad bereavement. Thank you to all who sent messages of condolences, cards, flowers, donations in lieu of flowers, brought food, called at our home or paid their respects along the funeral route.

Many thanks to our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues for your support and kindness.
To Drumaness Superkings C.C and Drumaness GAC for your heartfelt and touching tributes and to the Drumaness footballers for their dignified guard of honour.

We wish to express our gratitude to all the healthcare professionals, consultants, surgeons, doctors, district nursing team and the Marie Curie team for their care, compassion and support to our family as we cared for Daddy at home in his final months.
Thank you to Fr Loghran for celebrating a beautiful requiem mass and to Caolan Keavney for his lovely singing.
Thanks to Ciaran Fitzpatrick and his team at Seamus Fitzsimons Funeral Directors for their support and the dignity and respect shown towards our Daddy.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually for their kindness, We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as an expression of our deepest thanks.
Brendan will be remembered and cherished as a Husband, father, grandfather, Brother, son-in -law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.

Brendan’s months mind mass will be celebrated in Christ the King Church, Drumaness on Sunday 27th March 2022 at 9.30am.

GELSTON Brendan (Boondy) – Died 24th February 2022 peacefully in his late residence surrounded by his loving family following a long illness.

Dearly beloved husband of Geraldine and loving father to Annette, Neil and Keelen.
Dear father in law to Brendan and Lynette. Cherished grandfather of Brenna, Eoin, Ella, Lauren and Grace. Beloved brother to Raymond, Laurence, Ronnie, Paul, Claire and the late Maria. Dear brother in law and uncle.

Brendan’s remains will be reposing at his late residence from 3 pm Thursday 24th February 2022. Family only on Friday 25th February.

Funeral from his late residence at 11.30am for 12 noon Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Ballynahinch on Saturday 26th February. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Sacred heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Very deeply regretted by his entire family circle.
