A special word of thanks to Father Michael McGavigan for his presence and prayers at James’s home on the day James died.

Thank you to all who attended the wake at the funeral home and also James’s own home. To those who sent messages of sympathy via social media or who contacted us personally, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, floral tributes and sent food. Your kindness and thoughts were gratefully appreciated.

A special thanks to Carmel and Seamus and all of James’s neighbours in Rannyglas who always looked out for him and who helped us during this very difficult time.

A sincere thank you to the many people who lined the funeral route and to those who gathered outside the Chapel, those who attended the funeral Mass and to those who watched via the webcam.

To Jolene and Martin for the beautiful singing in the church, thank you so much.

To Deborah, Seamus and Eugene at McLaughlin Funeral Directors, thank you so much for your care, compassion and guidance with all the funeral arrangements and especially for carrying it out in such a dignified and professional manner.

Thank you also to the grave diggers and Rosmars café.
