John KILLEN

The family of the late John Killen would like to express their heartfelt thanks to our family, friends, neighbours and all of those who sympathised with them during their recent bereavement. Sincere thanks to all of those who sent cards and letters, posted social media messages, paid tributes to John on the radio and in the press, attended the house and the funeral, provided a guard of honour at the church, sent flowers, gave donations to Marie Curie and who helped in any way during this very difficult time.
The family also wishes to express our gratitude to the Doctors, the District Nursing teams, the Palliative Care Team, the Medical staff in the Ulster, Royal, City and Downe Hospitals and the paramedics who cared for John during his illness. Thanks also to Father Dallat for celebrating requiem mass for John and to Finbar Keaveney for his beautiful music and singing during the funeral service.
Thanks to Ciaran Fitzpatrick and his staff at Seamus Fitzsimons Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually for their kindness we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as an expression of our deepest thanks and appreciation.
The holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for all your intentions.
John’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated in St McCartans Church, Loughinisland on 7 February at 7.30 pm.
