Liam MARTIN

Date of Death: Sunday 26th December 2021 Town: Ballymaguigan
Date of Death: Sunday 26th December 2021

Liam’s daughter Clare, brothers Brendan, Adrian and Paul and the entire family circle would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised and supported us in our recent sad bereavement on 26th December 2021. Liam was a much loved father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.

We would like to thank everyone who called at the house, provided food, attended the funeral or watched Liam’s mass via the church webcam. Thank you to the numerous relatives, friends, neighbours and the wider community who gathered outside Liam’s home, the Church and lined the route of the funeral cortege to pay their respects. A special thank you to St. Treas GAC who provided a team of stewards to organise parking at the wake and funeral.
We were overwhelmed to receive so many mass cards, sympathy cards, texts, telephone calls, social media tributes and floral tributes.

A sincere thanks to Father John Fox and Deacon Kevin for celebrating the beautiful requiem mass and the fitting Homily. A special thanks to all those who read at the mass and to Fionnuala and Steven for live streaming the service for the parish website. This allowed Liam’s daughter Clare to join in the mass from Australia and be a part of the celebration of Liam’s life. We thank Michael Mawhinney for the beautiful singing and music. Thank you to Dermot the Church Sacristan and the grave diggers who prepared the church and Liam’s final resting place.

Our gratitude is also extended to The McCusker Brothers, Funeral Directors, for their kindness, guidance and support and for the professional, compassionate and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.

We also want to thank all Liam’s neighbours and friends who were so good to him and those who worked with him at Mindwise in Magherafelt. A special thanks to the Out and About transport service which Liam availed of so often. Thank you to the medical team in Garden Street Surgery and Anita Gribbin Pharmacy who attended to Liam’s medical needs.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our heartfelt appreciation for all the support and comfort we received during our bereavement. Liam was a friend to everyone. He was a much loved and valued member of our community and is sorely missed by all who knew him.

Liam’s Months Mind will be celebrated on Thursday 27th January at 7pm in St Treas Church. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for him.
