The sister and brothers of the late Cormac McCaughey (RIP) express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement. Grateful thanks to all who offered condolences; to those who sent Mass Cards, Sympathy Cards, letters, phone and social media messages. Thanks to all our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues who lined the roadside to St Macartan’s Church to pay their respects, and to those who were in attendance at the removal and the funeral Mass.

A special thank you to Fr Pádraig MacKenna PP, Canon John McKenna PE, Frs Stephen Joyce and Artie McCann who concelebrated the Funeral Mass with Mgr Shane.

Thanks to McAtee Funeral Directors for the attentive and professional manner in which they carried out the complete Funeral arrangements.

Trusting this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude for your kindness, support and prayers at this sad and very difficult time.

A Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 18th March at 8.00 pm in St Macartan’s Church Trillick.

McCAUGHEY Cormac – formerly of Effernan Road, Trillick BT78 3RB died peacefully in Slieve Na Mon Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family on Friday 17th February 2023.

Beloved son of the late Thomas and Moira. Treasured brother of Dominic (Carmel), Thomas (Una), Noelle (Sean), Damian (Alice), Fr Shane and the late Siobhan (Tom) and Nuala.

House private. Cormac will leave his brother Dominic’s residence, 11 Effernan Road at 5.45pm on Sunday 19th February and will be received in St Macartan’s Church Trillick at 6pm. Cormac’s requiem Mass will take place at 11am on Monday 20th February, followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

For those who wish to show a presence on the funeral route, Cormac will travel from the Effernan Road and along the Kilskeery Road to arrive at St Macartan’s Church for 6pm. Alternatively, the funeral mass may be viewed via the Kilskeery Parish webcam.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving brothers, sister, in laws, nephews, nieces and entire family circle. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for him.
