Margaret Ita (Ida) McCONVEY (née Kent)

Date of Death: Tuesday 11th January 2022 Town: Downpatrick
Date of Death: Tuesday 11th January 2022

The family of the late Ita McConvey (nee Kent) would like to express their sincere thanks to all who sympathised and supported them during their recent sad bereavement. Thanks to our family, friends and neighbours who sent Mass and Sympathy cards, and messages, called to the house, paid their respects along the route to the Church and graveyard, attended the funeral and helped in any way during this challenging time especially those from Australia, USA, England, and Italy. We would like to offer special thanks to the doctors and nurses (notably the Green Surgery), MediCare Deenys, district nurse, social workers, the entire staff of the Royal Victoria and Downe hospitals for their excellent attention to Ita and ourselves, as a family. A special thanks also to the Good Morning Down, MacMillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie teams.

To Ciaran Fitzpatrick and his staff at Seamus Fitzsimons Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which they conducted the funeral arrangements. Special thanks to Fr John Murray PP and his team for their spiritual support and guidance. Thanks to Finbarr Keavney and Meadhbha Monaghan for the beautiful singing and music during the funeral.

Ita was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend and is deeply missed.
Ita’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Downpatrick on Monday 14th February at 19:30.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as an expression of our deepest gratitude and appreciation.
