Marie McDONNELL (nee Mc Cann)

Date of Death: Sunday 6th February 2022 Town: Newry
Date of Death: Sunday 6th February 2022

We, the family of the late Marie Mc Donnell, wish to express our appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on the recent loss of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother great-grandmother and sister. Thank you to all those who attended the wake and funeral, phoned, sent mass cards, messages of sympathy and travelled long distances to be with us at this sad time. To our relatives, friends, neighbours and the local businesses who brought food to our home, it was very much appreciated. Thank you to the parking stewards for directing traffic over the period of the wake.

Thank you to our family and friends who looked after mummy at home during her illness, to the nursing staff and doctors at Belfast City Hospital, to the Marie Curie nurses, Macmillan nurses and especially the district nurses for their care and kindness. Thank you to Dr Giby and all at Meigh Pharmacy.
A word of appreciation to Fr Naughton and Fr Keenan for celebrating a beautiful, personal mass for mummy; to the sacristan Louis Coyle for his help and to the musicians Sharon and Jamie Larkin for the lovely music.

Thank you so much to Mc Gennity Funeral Directors for taking care of the funeral arrangements and to the Carrickdale for the lovely food after the funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt gratitude.

Marie’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated at 6.00pm on Saturday 5th March in St Michael’s church, Killean.
