We the family of the late Pádraig Pearse R.I.P wish to express our sincere thanks to all the people who thought and prayed for Pearse during his illness and who sympathised with us during our recent and sad loss.
To the Staff of Altnagelvin I.C.U for all their medical and nursing care towards Pearse and also to the Staff of Ward 26c for their care and empathy towards his father Mickey during a difficult time.

Sincere thanks to our neighbours and friends who supported us or helped in any way.

Thank you to those who attended the wake at the funeral home , sent messages of sympathy, mass cards and sympathy cards, and donated money in lieu of flowers, your kindness was so greatly appreciated.

A special word of thanks to Fr Séamus Kelly for his presence and prayers during Pearse’s illness and for the beautiful Requiem Mass.

To Joelene and Martin for the singing and music, thank you.
To McLaughlin Funeral Directors ,thank you for all your care and guidance with carrying out the wake and funeral arrangements in a dignified way.

To the Church sacristan and stewards, thank you.
Thank you to Sean and Martin for controlling the traffic during the funeral cortege.
Thank you to the grave attendants for preparing the grave.
To Cathals Flowers for the lovely flower arrangement, thank you.

Sincere thanks to everyone who attended the funeral mass, stood along the roadside or outside the church and watched via the webcam.

As it would be impossible to express our appreciation individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted by you all as a token of our sincere heartfelt thanks.

Pearse’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 27th of November in St Patrick’s Church, Dungiven at 11am.

McGONIGLE Pearse died on the 29th of October 2021, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital. Late of 23 Hass Road, Dungiven, Co Derry.

Beloved son of Jean and Mickey. Loving partner of Teresa and dearly loved by Eimear. Dear brother of Siobhan, Michael, Damien, Brenda, Geoffery, Ciara, Seoirse and the late infant Emmett R.I.P.

Viewing at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home (414a Ballyquin Road, Dungiven) on Saturday 30th of October 3pm to 6pm.

Leaving the funeral home at 6pm to repose at his parents home 23 Hass Road, Dungiven, Co Derry, sadly due to the ongoing pandemic the wake is strictly private.

Funeral from his parents residence on Monday 1st of November leaving at 10.10am for 11am Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick‘s Church Dungiven. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

No flowers please and donations if desired in lieu to Altnagelvin I.C.U WHSCT c/o McLaughlin Funeral Directors.

Deeply regretted and will be very sadly missed by all his loving family and the wider family circle. Sacred Heart of Jesus pray for him.
