Denis passed away, peacefully at home on the 19th of January, a widely respected, devoted family man and much-loved father, father in law, grandfather, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend. We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.

Our thanks to those who called to our house, who telephoned, who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers and those who left messages online or via social media. Our thanks to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass or via the webcam. Sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped out in so many ways, to help us grieve as a family. We would also like to thank the district nurses who helped care for dad in his final days, their care and compassion will never be forgotten.

A special word of thanks to Father Patrick MacEntee for his spiritual support and the comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially James McShane who provided the beautiful music. Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger who helped prepare Dad’s final resting place.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
