James (Jim) McKINLESS
We the sons and daughters of the late Jim McKinless RIP would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement.
We would like to thank our extended family, friends, neighbours and everyone who sent mass and sympathy cards, telephoned, post tributes on-line, helped at the wake, brought food, helped with the car parking and for the many people who attended daddy’s wake and funeral.
Sincere thanks to the staff of Coagh Medical Centre, the paramedics and Antrim Area Hospital. We would also like to thank the carers who attended daddy over the last few months.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Donnelly (PP) who visited daddy in hospital and who delivered a fitting homily at his funeral Mass. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Fr. Terence McGuckin, daddy’s lifetime friend who joined Fr. Donnelly on the altar for the funeral Mass.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the Mass and a special word of thanks to Roisin and Emmett who provided the lovely singing and music and for the beautiful piping by Marty J.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Patsy O’Hagan, daddy’s close friend for writing the emotional reflection which was read so beautifully by Donna Walls.
We want to thank Ballinderry Shamrocks GAC, Derrychrin PS. and St Patrick’s Mullinahoe PS. who formed a guard of honour, also to Ballinderry Shamrocks GAC community hub for providing the after funeral refreshments.
We would also like to thank Mark and Philip of Cassidy Funeral Directors for the professional, compassionate and dignified manner in which daddy’s funeral arrangements were carried out. Thanks also to the grave diggers who prepared daddy’s final resting place.
We are truly grateful for all the support and kindness we have received during this difficult time and as it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our appreciation.
Daddy’s months mind Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 17th January 2024 at 7.30pm in St Patrick’s Church Ballinderry. Mass can also be viewed on the parish webcam via the link below.
