The family of the late Margaret McLoughlin Carnlough, wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported them following the loss of their dear mother.
They would especially like to thank the kind relatives, friends and members of the wider family circle who helped during this difficult time.
Many thanks to all those who called at the house, brought food, sent messages, Mass and Sympathy cards, sent flowers and attended the funeral. It was very much appreciated.
The family are very grateful to both Fr Tony Fitzsimons and Fr Francis O’ Brien for providing spiritual support to Margaret and administering the sacraments when Margaret was housebound. They would like to thank Fr O’Brien for the beautiful Requiem Mass which was a fitting celebration of Margaret’s life and to Amy McAllister for the beautiful singing and music.
A special thank you to Pauline, the Sacristan for all her help in organising the Ceremony.
The family would like to acknowledge the dedicated care and attention shown to Margaret by the staff of Craigdun Nursing Home where she spent the last three months of her life.
Also, sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and receptionists at Broughshane Health Practice and to the team at Optimum Care for their dedication and support, especially over the last few years of Margaret’s life.
Grateful thanks to Michael McSparron, funeral director, for the professional, compassionate and dignified manner in which he carried out all the funeral arrangements.
Thanks also to The Half Way House Hotel, Ballygally who provided the refreshments following the funeral.

Margaret’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St John the Evangelist Church, Carnlough on Sunday 7th January at 11.15am.

McLOUGHLIN (nee Hunter) Margaret – 4th December 2023 Carnlough. Margaret, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Dearly loved wife of the late Pat and devoted mother of Hugh, Marion, Patricia, Kathleen, Joanne, Eugene and Eamon. Loving mother-in-law of Pat, Francis, Sean, Paul, Francis, Donna and Kim and much loved grandmother and great grandmother.

Margaret’s remains will be reposing at her daughter Patricia’s home, 49, Lisles Hill Road, Carnalbanagh, Glenarm BT44 0BN

All are welcome to pay their respects from 12 noon until 10pm.

Funeral on Thursday 7th December leaving from 49, Lisles Hill Road at 11.15am for 12 noon Requiem mass at St John The Evangelist Church, Carnlough, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
