Mary McVEY (nee Conlan)
The family of the late Mary McVey would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement. Mary was a very much beloved wife, mother/in law, grandmother, sister, aunt and true friend.
We express our gratitude to all those who called to the house and attended the Requiem Mass. Thanks to everyone who sent flowers, Mass/sympathy cards, letters, telephoned and shared online messages of compassion. Every contact was welcomed, appreciated and comforting. Thanks for the support of relatives, neighbours and friends and wider community who lined the route of the funeral cortege to pay their respect your presence was greatly appreciated. We were reminded how much Mary was loved by all.
The family would like to extend out heartfelt thanks to the services provided by the Northern Trust and Belfast Trust which included dedicated and compassionate care to Mary. To all the Homecare workers that have been involved in Mary’s care for the past 8 years as a family we thank you for the care you provided over them years. You were a great source of support. A special mention and thanks to the Specialist Doctors involved in Mary’s care the late Dr Esmonde and Dr Kearney including all the staff in 4E at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
To the Doctors, District Nurses and all the staff at Coagh Medical Centre. Thank you for the care you provided over the years. Thanks also to the staff at John O’Brien’s Pharmacy, Coagh for your help over the years.
A sincere thank you to the two Homecare workers and the Ambulance Service who provided support and assistance on the day of Mary’s passing we truly appreciate your care and support on that day.
A sincere thank you to Fr Donnelly for his spiritual support and celebrating the beautiful mass. Thank you to the McCusker funeral directors for their dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements, to Mr. John Wilson sacristan and grave diggers. A special mention to Margaret Anne Conlon who provided beautiful singing. Thank you to all who provided food and refreshments throughout the wake and after the funeral.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation.
Mary’s months mind mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Ballinderry on Friday 29th April at 7:30pm and may also be viewed through the parish webcam.

Beloved wife of the late Sean and loving mother of Colm, Caroline, Ann Marie (Hughes) and the late Sean, mother-in-law of Adrian and Peggy, grandmother of Jamie, Dionne, Jodie, Rhea, Ronan, Leona, Jessica, Rachel, Oisin, Emelia and Dara. Daughter of the late Felix and Bridget Conlan and sister of Augustine (Gusty), Joe, Winnifred (Auld), Brendan, Ann (McVey).
Funeral from her home, 28 Rogully Road BT80 0AN on Sunday March 27th at 1.30pm for 2.00pm Mass in Church of St Patrick, Ballinderry, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. St Martin pray for us.
Deeply regretted by her son, daughters, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. The funeral numbers will be limited to immediate family only.
