Date of Death: Wednesday 1st September 2021

Catherine (LILY) Nash – 1st September 2021

We, the sons, daughters, grandchildren and daughter-in-law of the late LILY NASH would like to extend our appreciation and thanks to all those who sympathised with us in our recent sad bereavement.

We would like to thank all the wonderful Doctors, Nurses, Nursing Assistants and Staff of Ward 32 Altnagelvin Hospital, who cared for our mother with respect and dignity during her very short illness.

To Fr. Joe Gormley and Fr. Daniel McFaul, St. Mary’s Church, Creggan, for their prayers, guidance and comfort during our mother’s illness and wake. To Fr. McFaul for the beautiful tribute to our mother at her requiem Mass, your very kind words were of great comfort to us.

We would like to thank the members of the Legion of Mary, an organisation our mother was a member of for 42 years, who recited the Legion Prayers and Rosary at the graveside.

To Anne Marie Hickey and Aidan Watkins for the absolutely beautiful singing and music at the funeral Mass.

To our wonderful neighbours of Cromore Gardens and our friends, your very kind words, prayers and help throughout the wake which comforted us during a very difficult time.

To our good friend Dolores and her daughters Michele and Margaret who provided food for our family and the wake, you were so very kind and thoughtful and this was so appreciated by us all.

To our work colleagues, friends and everyone who called at the house, sent floral tributes and Sympathy cards, made charitable donations in memory of our mother, for those who attended at the removal and Requiem Mass, your kindness and support during this heartbreaking and difficult time for us will never be forgotten.
Finally for Sean Carr, Funeral Director, for the very professional service which you carried out with kindness, dignity and compassion.

As we cannot thank everyone individually we would ask that you accept our sincere thanks for everything you did for us during this sad time; the Holy sacrifice of Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Lily’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Friday 1st October 2021 @ 7.30 p.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Everyone welcome.

Special Request

House private for family and close family friends only.
