The family of the late George Rice, who passed away on 8th September 2021 wish to offer their thanks to all those who sympathised and supported them in their recent bereavement.

Thanks to all those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and attended the Funeral. Sincere thanks to Fr Gerry McCloskey for the beautiful Requiem Mass.

Special thank-you to Dr Murphy and the staff of Ardglass Surgery, the Downe hospital and to Sister Mary Peake and the staff of Kings Castle Ardglass who cared for daddy in his final days.

Thank-you to Ciaran Fitzpatrick and the staff of Seamus Fitzsimons Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
A heartfelt thank you to all who paid their respects and stood along his funeral route and the Ardglass Golf Club for their Guard of Honour.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

RICE George died on 8th September 2021, peacefully at Kings Castle Nursing Home. Late of 10 Green Road, Ardglass.

Dearly beloved husband of the late Maureen and loving son of the late Michael and Susan and beloved brother of the late Madeline.
Cherished father of Catherine and Jane and father-in-law of Cahal and Mark. Dear grandfather of Maddie, Eva, Cate, Mary and Lara.

Funeral from his late residence, 10 Green Road, Ardglass on Sunday 12th September 2021 at 2.30pm for 3pm Requiem Mass in St Nicholas’ Church, Ardglass. Interment in the adjoining Calvary Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Very deeply regretted by his daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and entire family circle.
