Peter WOODS

Date of Death: Wednesday 22nd November 2023 Town: Garvaghey
Date of Death: Wednesday 22nd November 2023

The family of the late Peter Woods would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Peter was a widely respected gentleman and a dearly loved partner, father, father-in-law, grandfather, son, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers and to those who left messages online or via social media.

Thank you to those who called to the wake house, prepared food, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass to celebrate Peter’s life.

Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family, and who showed us immense support.

A special word of thanks to Father McCartan for his spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, the readers, and our musician Aoife McCullagh, who provided the beautiful music during the service.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger for preparing Peter’s final resting place.

Our thanks also to Judith, Floral Temptations Omagh, for the beautiful floral tributes.

A sincere thank you to Peter’s work colleagues at Jordan’s Quarry for provision of the lorry for the funeral and for their continued support during these difficult times.

And finally, we send our grateful thanks to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service for their rapid response and support provided.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Peter is ever loved and sadly missed, may his gentle, generous soul be granted eternal rest, his Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in The Church of Immaculate Conception, Beragh on Thursday 21st December at 7.30pm. Our Lady pray for him.
